Delete your TheyOkay account

We delete it 7 days after your request. Until then you can change your mind — sign in here or in the app and tap “Restore”.

How to delete

1. In the app: “Settings” → “Delete account”.
2. Or here: sign in with the same account you use in TheyOkay and tap “Delete account”.

What will be deleted

• your account, your name and your place in the family;
• your phone status (battery, when it was last used), notification address and encryption keys;
• if you're the only admin — the whole family and its invitations.

What is deleted anyway, without a request

• voice messages, stickers and location — from the server right after delivery, after 48 hours at most;
• the list of voice messages on the phone — after 30 days or together with the app.

What may be kept

• anonymous technical analytics events, with no names or content — for up to 14 months;
• payment records in Google Play — under Google's rules and the law.

A loved one's phone

The family admin disconnects it in the app: “Family members” → the phone → “Disconnect”. Its data is deleted in 7 days. The loved one can also sign in here with their own Google account.

Subscription

Your Google Play subscription won't be cancelled automatically — cancel it in Play: “Profile” → “Payments & subscriptions”.
